WHY DO HUMANS DANCE?

Dance, the best of sports!
It has all the traits but is far less practiced than walking. Dance stimulates the brain, makes individuals happy, and forges social bonds while appealing to the entire body.
Dance, in all of its forms, is drawing an increasing number of practitioners since it is an essential component of our lives and of all civilizations.
Memory, rhythm, coordination, emotion, and well-being are all improved by dancing. Stress, confidence, physical health, and equilibrium…
Hip-hop, samba, belly dance, modern jazz, classical dance, and contemporary dance… So many different dancing forms to appreciate your body and have fun.
At StepFlix we have a youtube channel where we teach many styles of dance, check out: StepFlix channel

Benefits of dancing.

1. “BRAIN AND DANCING”: “MEMORY AND WELL-BEING”

Similar to other physical activities, dancing has the ability to reduce stress, ease tension, boost energy, and enhance sleep.
But there’s more! Dance has benefits that go beyond its aesthetic value. Indeed, dancing is more than just a way to move about and get some exercise. It keeps the brain healthy. Yes, dancing greatly activates your gray maXer and needs your body to move in time with the music. In other words, you keep your mental and physical agility.
In order to learn and remember choreographies, we must repeatedly practice them throughout dancing sessions. This helps our bodies and minds register the motions.
Therefore, your memory gets tapped every minute.
When we dance, we become more conscious of our bodies, which has a liberating and even exposing effect.
The term “dance therapy” is widely used and even studied at university for its recognized virtues and ability to reduce anxiety.
Dance simply makes us feel alive.

2. TONE AND TRAIN YOUR BODY WITH DIFFERENT STYLES

Many dancers would contend that dancing is a sport because it calls for such high levels of physical endurance, powerful muscles, and remarkable flexibility.
You will always use all of your muscles while dancing, and this can frequently be for several hours each day, regardless of the type of dance you are doing.
Additionally, men frequently hoist their female dancing partners quite high in the air in the more traditional dance forms (such as ballet and modern dance).
Dancers are frequently just as athletic as football players, runners, or swimmers because they need to be strong.
Because we expend so much energy during dance class, dance helps to tone and sculpt the body.
You can develop your body in numerous ways according to each style.

Body Ballet

Body Ballet is a total body workout, with a focus on medium impact strengthening, endurance, and toning exercises with some stretches. We are going to shape our bodies using classical ballet techniques.

Ballet fit

These classes are complete exercise routines, based on Ballet technique performed on the floor; in each exercise you are going to be laid down on the floor, either on your back or on your stomach. Before taking these classes, we recommend taking the Ballet Fit Technique classes, to learn the proper technique of each exercise.
The difference between these routines is the level of intensity and deeper stretch. The advanced routine is very challenging; we recommend starting with the beginner routine, then move to the intermediate and finally to the advanced. Enjoy them! Take this classes: Ballet fit

Fitness ballet

Has become very popular, especially among those who already have some basic notions of classical ballet. But what is fitness ballet? This modality that mixes classic ballet movements with traditional gymnastics movements, such as squats, push-ups, and sit-ups promises to win over even those people who don’t like the gym. The results are surprising and fast, which makes it difficult for students to abandon classes. Cardiovascular work promotes great calorie burning and, consequently, improves physical endurance and leads to weight loss. In some cases, the body improvement is clear in a short time, which leaves the practitioner even more motivated.

Different STYLES OF DANCE can improve different parts of your body.

Any tempo you choose will work the majority of the body’s muscles. However, each dance tones the body parts differently and to varying degrees of intensity.
Anyone with a basic understanding of dance rhythms is aware that practicing Bachata or Rumba does not result in dancers having steel chests and muscular arms. During most dances, the body’s lower limbs are primarily used. Depending on the form of dance, the higher regions are stimulated either very little or considerably.
Most styles of dancing require little or no effort from the shoulders, arms, and forearms, which only slightly engages the muscles in these areas of the body. However, some categories require powerful weapons, such as break dancing or hip hop. If you decide to engage in some of these rhythms during your classes, then you can work harder on these three upper body parts.

Belly dancing

Is another good option as it mainly exercises the abdominal region. If you like a more streamlined style, opt for classical dancing as it will give you a concrete back and flat stomach, as well as strengthen your lower body.

To sculpt the legs and buttocks, the most recommended dances are ballroom dancing and, in particular, rock’n’roll, as it requires constant energy of movement, which also allows the dancer to lose weight while defining their muscles. Zouk is also a rhythm that works the hips, also requiring constant employment of the glutes.

Dances that work the whole body

Some dances make you energetically work your whole body. A good example of this is the tango because even mobilizing mainly the legs, it still requires the adoption of postures that work the upper part of the body. Capoeira is also a complete and original dance.

All week we have the variety and the opportunity to practice and learn different styles of dances and fitness disciplines
